This Policy forms part of the KCompounds Terms of Service. It explains how shipping, delivery, returns, replacements, refunds and customs issues work on the platform and, most importantly, who is responsible for them.
1. The platform does not ship, hold, or refund products
KCompounds is a marketplace venue and intelligence service. Every product sold through the platform is sold by an independent third-party vendor under a direct contract of sale between that vendor and you. The platform operator:
- holds no inventory and operates no warehouse;
- does not package, label, ship, insure, or deliver any product;
- does not act as exporter, importer, or customs broker for any shipment;
- makes no delivery promise of any kind;
- is not the party responsible for returns, replacements, reshipments or refunds.
All fulfilment obligations (shipping, delivery, returns, replacements, reshipment and refunds) are owed to you by the vendor alone.
2. Each vendor's own policy governs your order
Every vendor on the platform publishes its own policies covering, at minimum:
- shipping methods, origins, timelines and costs;
- which destinations it ships to;
- what happens if a shipment is lost, damaged, or seized by customs (reshipment, refund, partial credit, or no remedy, as the vendor states);
- whether returns are accepted, and on what conditions;
- when and how refunds are issued.
These vendor policies are displayed on the vendor's profile and presented to you at checkout before you pay. By placing the order you accept the applicable vendor's policies as part of your contract with that vendor. Vendor policies differ; read them before ordering. The version presented at checkout at the time of your order is the version that governs that order.
3. Customs seizures and international shipping
Many vendors ship internationally. You are the importer of record for your shipment and are solely responsible for the legality of importation and for any duties or charges. Whether a seized, held or destroyed shipment is reshipped or refunded is determined exclusively by the vendor's own policy. The platform has no responsibility for customs outcomes.
4. If something goes wrong with your order
- Tell us first, through the contact page or at contact@kcompounds.com, quoting your order reference. Vendors are not contacted directly: we take your message to the vendor and bring back its answer. Most issues are resolved under the vendor's policy.
- If the vendor does not respond or honor its policy, we can take the matter up with the vendor and, where the vendor's policy entitles you to a refund, process that refund as the vendor's payment agent from funds attributable to the vendor.
Any assistance the platform provides under this section is voluntary and goodwill-based. It does not make the platform a party to your contract with the vendor, does not transfer any vendor obligation to the platform, and does not waive any part of Section 1.
5. How refunds are paid
Where a refund is due under the applicable vendor policy, it is funded by the vendor and processed by the platform acting solely as the vendor's payment collection agent. Refunds are made to the original payment method where possible. For cryptocurrency payments, refunds may be made in the original asset or a stablecoin equivalent, valued at the time the refund is processed; exchange-rate movements between payment and refund are not compensated. Bank (ACH) refund timing depends on the banking network.
6. Chargebacks and payment disputes
Contact us before initiating any bank dispute, ACH return, or card chargeback; the vendor-policy route is almost always faster. Chargebacks or payment disputes initiated in bad faith (for example, on delivered orders, or in breach of an agreed vendor policy) may result in account suspension and recovery of dispute costs.
7. No platform liability
Nothing in this Policy creates any obligation or liability of the platform operator for shipping, delivery, customs treatment, returns, replacements or refunds. The platform operator's liability is limited as set out in the Terms of Service.
