This Policy explains what Testing Scores are, how they are produced, the rules for submitting reviews, and how vendors and others can challenge content. It forms part of the Terms of Service and the Vendor Terms.
1. What Testing Scores are
Product Testing Scores, the averages shown for a vendor, evidence grades, statuses and category scores (together, "Testing Score Content") are statements of opinion produced by applying the platform's published methodology to the evidence records available to the platform at the time. Every displayed figure derives from stored evidence records; no figure is hand-written. Each Testing Score shows its evidence basis (the verified lab reports it rests on) and the date of the newest test, and material changes are recorded in an audit trail.
Testing Score Content is not: a guarantee of any vendor's future conduct, product quality or safety; an endorsement or recommendation; a statement that any specific product or shipment is what it claims to be; or advice of any kind. Evidence available to the platform may be incomplete or unverifiable despite the controls below. Always conduct your own diligence.
2. How the methodology works
The methodology is published in full, with its live numbers, at kcompounds.com/testing-score-methodology. In outline: each product has its own Testing Score, resting on lab reports verified on the laboratory's own page, graded by fixed rules and counted for a set number of days; how much each report counts depends on when it was filed and by whom. A vendor's figure is the average of its tested products. That page is the authoritative description of how every Testing Score is worked out, and this Policy defers to it.
Independence. Platform fees do not buy, protect, or influence Testing Scores in any way. No one can pay to improve, suppress, or remove Testing Score Content. Platform revenue and the scoring pipeline are operationally separate.
3. Rules for reviewers
By submitting a review, order report, or evidence, you confirm that: it reflects your own first-hand transaction; it is truthful and accurate to the best of your knowledge; any documents or screenshots you attach are genuine and unaltered; you were not paid, compensated, or promised any benefit for it, by anyone; and you are not affiliated with the vendor concerned or any competitor of it.
Prohibited: fabricated or second-hand reports presented as first-hand; incentivized, traded, or coordinated reviews; reviews used to extort vendors or the platform; multiple submissions about the same order (updates are combined into one case); and submissions containing third parties' personal data beyond what the evidence requires (we redact before publication where feasible).
Breach leads to removal of the content, exclusion of your evidence from Testing Scores, and account termination. Fraudulent submissions may be reported and pursued.
4. Vendor right of reply and corrections
Vendors may, through their vendor account or contact@kcompounds.com:
- Request correction of any specific factual statement they believe is wrong, providing evidence. We review it against the evidence records and correct demonstrated errors. Corrections are logged in the audit trail.
We correct what is shown to be wrong. We do not remove accurate history, and we do not negotiate Testing Scores.
5. Complaints about content (including defamation)
Anyone who believes published content is false and damaging may complain to contact@kcompounds.com, identifying: the exact statement, the URL, why it is said to be false, and supporting evidence. We acknowledge it, review it against our evidence records, and then correct, annotate, remove, or maintain the content, with reasons. Review-based content on the platform consists of users' own first-hand accounts (hosted content) and the platform's honest-opinion assessments derived from disclosed evidence; complaints about a user's review may be passed to the user concerned for response, consistent with applicable law.
6. Editorial content
Articles, interviews, and investigations reflect the honest opinion of their authors, based on the facts stated or referenced in them, at the time of publication. Material updates or corrections are annotated on the piece.
7. Changes
The methodology may be refined over time; changes are versioned and take effect prospectively from publication.
