BlankPeptides: Gated for Compliance. Built for Conversion.

Inside the pressure funnel behind a “research peptide” brand

Krysia

This is a follow up to my earlier article on BlankPeptides which can be found here

Created yesterday. Selling history

I wasn't intending on writing any further articles on BlankPeptides, but after checking my email today, what I found both surprised and shocked me.

The Entry Point

Before you can even view the site, you’re met with a gate. A full disclaimer; Research use only. Not for human consumption. Not a pharmacy. No dosing instructions and 21+ and a licensed research professional.

You’re asked to enter your details and your email must be verified. There’s no option to opt out of future marketing emails.

The email verification step makes the site feel gated, likely useful for payment processors and compliance positioning,

What Happens Next

But once inside, something changes and within 48 hours, I received six emails with the following titles:

*“Unlock the peptide you need”

*“Your exclusive discount is ready”

“You’re not the only one researching”

“No risk trials await you”

“Every batch is verified”

And the final one:

“Last check before we close this”

And the message;

“This peptide won’t wait forever.”

“Shop it now.”

“We don’t push decisions.”

That last line is ironic, because the whole thing is a pressure funnel.

No Cart. Still the Funnel.

Yet I hadn’t even added anything to my basket. No product was selected and no checkout started. All I’d done was to verify my email to get past the gate and still, six emails arrived in two days. This matters because it wasn’t abandoned cart recovery. It was pre-emptive conversion pressure and the moment you pass the “compliance” gate, you’re not treated like a researcher, you’re treated like a lead.

The Funnel

No cart, no intent, but still the funnel and it’s explicitly labelled as such:

“This message is from a mailing list.”

This isn’t neutral, it’s a full retail conversion sequence: discount codes, urgency, scarcity social proof, and “no risk” framing. Everything designed to move you from interest to hesitation to purchase.

The Contradiction

At the point of entry, the positioning is clear; Research use only. Licensed professionals. No human use, but immediately after, consumer-style marketing, conversion pressure and retail tactics.

The Role of the Gate

The email gate is not just about compliance, it’s doing two things at once:

1. Regulatory positioning
Creates distance from human use claims and helps maintain payment processing access

2. Lead capture
Feeds directly into a sales funnel

This is no longer about whether the product works or not, that’s not the point. The point is how it’s being sold. If demand is genuinely that strong, if the product is supplying clinics at scale, if the quality speaks for itself, then why the pressure?

Compliance on the way in, conversion on the way out.
